Dr. Schwartz is proud to be the Phoenix Suns Team Ophthalmologist, the Team Ophthalmologist for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Team LASIK Ophthalmologist for the Phoenix Coyotes. Schwartz Laser Eye Center is the official "LASIK Center of the Phoenix Suns". He was also the team eye physician of the Valley Vipers professional baseball team for the 2000 season. Dr Schwartz has experience treating numerous professional athletes. He is experienced in LASIK, PRK, anterior segment, cataracts, and glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Jay L. Schwartz has the experience of performing over 28,000 LASIK procedures.

Dr. Schwartz's practice specializes in LASIK. He has traveled throughout the United States and Europe training other surgeons on the LASIK procedure. These locations include: Albuquerque, Chicago, Columbus, OH., Colorado Springs, Dallas, Denver, Nashville, Honolulu, Houston, Minneapolis, Midvale, UT., Orem, UT., Miami, Orlando, Quincy, IL., San Antonio, San Diego, Seattle, Tallahassee, Tampa and Florence, Italy. Dr. Schwartz has also trained several other surgeons from around the world at our clinic in Scottsdale, AZ.
Dr. Schwartz graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He finished his Ophthalmology Residency at Midwestern University in Chicago, Illinois in 1997. He received fellowship training from Dr. Charles Casebeer, MD. He has been a principle investigator in an Investigative Device Exemption (IDE) study on the Nidek laser, from which data was submitted to the FDA.
Dr. Schwartz is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Colorado and Illinois.
