 Dr. Gary Kawesch is a board-certified ophthalmologist and an established LASIK surgeon who is widely respected as an expert in the field of vision correction surgery.

Dr. Kawesch is the first surgeon in the Bay Area to perform wavefront-guided LASIK.
After establishing himself as a premier laser vision correction surgeon in the California San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Kawesch expanded his practice to serve patients in Southern California from his offices in San Diego and Los Angeles. Dr. Gary Kawesch graduated from Yale University where he earned a bachelor's degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. And he earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in 1992.
Dr. Gary Kawesch has authored numerous scientific articles in the field of ophthalmology. He also shares his knowledge of vision correction surgery with other local eye surgeons, acting as a lecturer and teacher for continuing ophthalmologic education. Additionally, Dr. Kawesch is the inventor and U.S. patent holder of an innovative device and method for measuring patients' vision.
