Dr. Weingarten received his medical degree from Wayne State University, School of Medicine in Detroit and performed his residency in ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a certified laser eye surgeon. He is an active member of the local and national major ophthalmology organizations, including the Michigan Ophthalmology Society, Michigan Keratofractive Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
